For actions that may result in police presence, it is important to have comrades prepared to interact calmly and deliberately with police and minimize the chances of arrest. Police cannot be deescalated, but there are actions that organizers can take to manage encounters with law enforcement.

During the 2022 UAW 2865 strike, my fellow organizers and I developed and refined a training for police liaisons which we are happy to share. We operate from a basis that the only moral position is police abolition, and it is necessary to keep comrades out of reach of police violence. The training will be offered on a sliding scale.
